Australia winger Digby Ioane will report to police authorities in Victoria after he failed to attend court over an assault charge.
Ioane, 27, is facing a charge of unlawful assault after he allegedly attacked a man in the Melbourne suburb of Prahran on March 9.
The Australian Rugby Union learned of the issue on Monday afternoon and confirmed in a statement: "Since being made aware through media reports, ARU has worked expeditiously with Digby Ioane and Victorian Police to attend to this matter. Digby will report to Victorian Police and will be issued with a revised court date."
The statement continued: "No further comment will be made at this time."
It is understood that the court appearance simply slipped Ioane's mind.
He was involved in the agonising first-Test defeat for the Wallabies against the British and Irish Lions in Brisbane on Saturday, and plays his club rugby for the Queensland Reds.
