Jarvis kicks Leeds to victory

Adrian Jarvis claimed 17 points with the boot as relegation-threatened Leeds secured a tense 27-22 victory over Exeter at Headingley Carnegie.

The former Bristol fly-half landed four penalties, a conversion and a drop goal, while Hendre Fourie and Alfie To'oala touched down as Neil Back's bottom-placed side moved to within two points of Newcastle.

Bryan Rennie claimed the solitary try for Exeter, whose other points all came from the boot of fly-half Gareth Steenson.

Leeds face Newcastle at Kingston Park on Saturday in what will no doubt be billed as a relegation decider.
