Kennedy returns to Edinburgh bench

Scrum-half Sean Kennedy returns to the Edinburgh squad for their RaboDirect Pro12 clash with Ospreys following his loan spell at London Irish.

Kennedy will be on the bench on Friday night after Sam Hidalgo-Clyne dropped out with a shoulder injury.

Head coach Alan Solomons has made four changes to his starting line-up following injuries to Tom Brown (thigh) and Nick De Luca (head knock).

Harry Leonard comes in at stand-off, playing on familiar territory as the game takes place at the Meggetland home of his former club Boroughmuir, with the worm-hit Murrayfield pitch given a rest before Scotland's RBS 6 Nations contest with France.

Centre Sam Beard has been promoted from the bench while Scotland internationals Ross Ford and Geoff Cross start in place of James Hilterbrand and Willem Nel.

Solomons said: "We took advantage of the opportunity to loan Sean out to complete his recovery from a knee injury and get some game time. He's returned looking nice and sharp so it's great to have him back in the fray.

"We've been able to pick a pretty strong pack and we know that the Ospreys too have a powerful set of forwards, so we're looking forward to meeting that challenge."
