Leroy Houston has returned to Aviva Premiership club Bath on a short-term deal.

Bath announced that back-row forward Houston will be with them until the end of October.

The west country club are currently without international back-row pair Taulupe Faletau and David Denton, who both face lengthy injury lay-offs.

Houston left Bath earlier this year after agreeing a move to Queensland Reds, but with the Super Rugby season over, he has been released for a short-term Recreation Ground switch.

Bath rugby director Todd Blackadder said: " We're very excited for Leroy to be coming back to the club for a couple of months to give us some cover while we have a few injuries, and we are really thankful to Queensland for helping make this happen.

"He's a fantastic character and a brilliant player, and because he knows the place so well, we know he will settle straight back in and be a real asset for us."
