Lions weather Stormers in Super Rugby thriller

The Lions shaded a thrilling contest to inflict only a second Super Rugby defeat of the season on the Stormers with a 29-22 victory in Johannesburg.

Penalties were exchanged as the Stomers opened up a 12-9 lead, but Ruan Combrinck's converted try four minutes before the break gave the Lions a half-time lead.

Replacement Faf de Klerk's try and the boot of Elton Jantjies, who finished with 19 points, saw the Lions home despite Siya Kolisi crossing for a brilliant score and Jean-Luc du Plessis completing a 17-point haul for the Stormers.
