Mouneimne leaves Edinburgh role

Edinburgh defence coach Omar Mouneimne has quit the club and returned to South Africa.

The BT Murrayfield outfit confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that the former Italy coach had resigned for "personal reasons"

Mouneimne was hired in August last year by Gunners head coach Alan Solomons, who he had worked with before at Southern Kings in their native South Africa.

Solomons said: "We are sorry that Omar has had to return to South Africa to deal with some personal issues. He has been an important part of our coaching team and laid strong foundations that we will build on.

"We wish Omar the very best for the future."
