Australian Dean Mumm will lead Exeter this season

Aviva Premiership club Exeter have announced the appointment of Australian forward Dean Mumm as their new captain.

Mumm, 29, joined Exeter from the Sydney-based Waratahs last season and will succeed his fellow Chiefs forward Tom Hayes in the captaincy role.

Exeter kick off their Premiership campaign at Northampton on September 7.
