Fiji's star wing Nemani Nadolo will miss the World Cup clash against Wales in Cardiff on Thursday due to suspension.

The 27-year-old was cited for a dangerous tip tackle during Fiji's Pool A defeat to Australia five days ago.

Nadolo denied he had committed an act of foul play, Rugby World Cup Limited said, but the citing was upheld by judicial officer Christopher Quinlan and a one-week ban imposed for a dangerous tackle.

The suspension takes effect immediately and Nadolo is free to play again on October 6, which is the same day as Fiji's final group game against Uruguay in Milton Keynes.
