New deal for Walker

The Ospreys have announced a new two-year contract for wing Eli Walker.

The 21-year-old has pledged his future to the Welsh region until 2016.

He was selected to make his Wales debut during the autumn Tests earlier this season, but a hamstring injury suffered during training dashed those hopes.

Walker then suffered a recurrence of that injury in last week's RaboDirect PRO12 loss to Ulster.

" Playing for the Ospreys was a goal that I had since I was playing schools rugby, so to have achieved that makes it special," he said.

"To be truthful, I wouldn't have liked to have had to go anywhere else, so it's great that the coaches want me here.

" The main aim for the next couple of years has to be to stay fit.

"I've had some bad luck this season and not managed as much game-time as anyone would have hoped for, but experiences like this can help to make me stronger."
