New Wasps deal for Jones

Flanker Sam Jones has become the latest Wasps player to extend his stay at the club.

The club have announced a new "long-term" deal for the 21-year-old back-rower, who joins the likes of centre Elliot Daly, wing Christian Wade and England lock Joe Launchbury in committing to the Adams Park side.

England Under-20 cap Jones, who has already made 50 appearances for Wasps, said: "I have been involved as a player with Wasps for around 10 years now and I feel a real loyalty to the club. I am excited about what the future holds for this squad and with lots of young talent staying here, we are heading in a very positive direction."

Director of rugby Dai Young added: "I am convinced Sam will be a long-term regular first-team player for this club with huge potential to develop further at international level if he continues to progress as well as he has."
