Parker blow for Edinburgh

Edinburgh have been dealt a blow with the news that Perry Parker is expected to be out of action for around four months.

The 26-year-old lock has gone under the knife to cure a shoulder problem and is unlikely to feature again this calendar year.

A statement from the capital club confirmed: "Edinburgh Rugby lock Perry Parker is expected to be out until the n ew year following an operation on an ongoing shoulder complaint.

"The time to recover and rehabilitate from the surgery is expected to be around three to four months."
