Parker makes Ospreys move
Edinburgh lock Perry Parker has joined Ospreys on loan until the end of the season, plugging a back-five forward chasm left by injury, suspension and the RBS 6 Nations.
The 26-year-old second-row joined Ospreys training on Thursday morning, ahead of their Friday-night LV=Cup clash with Sale Sharks.
Edinburgh head coach Alan Solomons added: "It's been a tough season for Perry who's been out for a long spell with an injured shoulder.
"We have good depth in the second-row, so this is a good opportunity to get valuable game time.
Alun-Wyn Jones and James King are on Wales duty, with Ian Evans suspended for 12 weeks and Ryan Jones out through injury.
Ospreys' rugby operations manager Andy Lloyd said it was vital to secure cover for the Six Nations window.
"With four of our senior options in the second row unavailable for various reasons, we felt it was prudent to bring in additional cover for a busy period that has a huge bearing on the final placings in the Pro12 and the make-up of the play-offs," Lloyd told the Ospreys' official club website.
"Perry Parker is a player who has caught the coaching team's eye and we look forward to seeing him make big contribution."
