Phil Swainston to swaps Wasps for Harlequins

Harlequins have signed prop Phil Swainston from their Aviva Premiership rivals Wasps.

Quins confirmed that Swainston will move to the Twickenham Stoop in July, ahead of next season.

The 27-year-old has made more than 80 appearances for Wasps since joining them in 2012.

"Phil is a proven and experienced tighthead prop who will give us the necessary strength in depth in a key position," Quins rugby director John Kingston said.

"In my conversations with him, he has displayed a real hunger to be a regular starter, and I have no doubt he will provide strong competition for the other props in our squad."
