Pienaar commits to Ulster

Ulster scrum-half Ruan Pienaar has signed a three-year contract extension with the RaboDirect PRO12 side which will keep him at Ravenhill until at least the summer of 2017.

The 29-year-old South Africa international has scored 510 points in 63 games for Ulster since he joined the province in 2010.

Pienaar told ulsterrugby.com: "I am delighted to be staying at Ulster. I have really enjoyed my first three seasons at the Province and I am looking forward to helping the team compete for silverware in the coming years."
