Pocock joins Brumbies

David Pocock had played for the Force since their inaugural season in 2006

Australia captain David Pocock is to play for the ACT Brumbies in Super 15 after quitting rivals Western Force.

Pocock had played for the Force since the team's inaugural season in 2006 but the 24-year-old decided to move on after citing a perceived lack of success.

The 24-year-old flanker said his move was influenced by the coaching and management team of the Brumbies - Jake White, Laurie Fisher, Stephen Larkham and Tony Thorpe. He said: "The opportunity to learn from them and challenge myself was appealing."

Western Force finished 14th in super 15 with three wins from 16 games while the Brumbies led the Australian conference through most of the tournament.
