Points for Kevin Sinfield on rugby union debut

Kevin Sinfield is off the mark in rugby union after kicking a penalty during a 15-minute cameo off the bench in Yorkshire Carnegie's 32-10 win over Ospreys at Headingley.

The 35-year-old only started training with the Championship outfit at the end of last month but has impressed Carnegie head coach Bryan Redpath and was included on the bench for Sunday's British and Irish Cup clash.

Sinfield was introduced in the 65th minute with Yorkshire 24-10 up and the debutant fly-half made a positive impression in front of 627 spectators, although he missed the chance to add to his first points in union when he pushed a touchline conversion wide.
