Sale's Andy Powell has escaped a ban despite being found guilty of mouthing foul language and making an offensive hand gesture to spectators during the weekend defeat at Bath.
The Wales international was instead fined £5,000, with £4,000 of that suspended until May 30 next year.
His Sharks team-mate Tom Brady did not avoid suspension, however, after he was found guilty of a dangerous tackle on Ben Skirving during the 31-10 defeat. Brady was handed a two-week ban by an RFU Disciplinary Panel to leave the Sharks, bottom of the Aviva Premiership table, without the winger until October 16.
