PRO12 duo cited

Two players have been cited for foul play following the latest round of Guinness PRO12 games.

League organisers announced that Cardiff Blues lock Teofilo Paulo and Scarlets forward Joe Snyman will face disciplinary hearings after being reported for striking during last Friday's match between the Welsh regions.

Treviso prop Romulo Acosta meanwhile, was sent off for striking an opponent in his team's clash against Edinburgh three days ago. Hearings for all three players will take place this week.

And the PRO12 disciplinary officer is investigating what has been described in a statement as "incidents around the mass brawl in the Edinburgh v Treviso match in which the fighting spilled off the field of play."
