Ulster aren't on Munster's level: Best

By Jonathan Bradley

Ulster's Rory Best has admitted Munster are setting a standard his side aren't "anywhere near" matching this season.

The Kingspan outfit travel to Limerick on Saturday (3pm kick-off) for what could be a season-defining contest as they look to push their way back into the PRO12 play-off spots with only three games remaining.

With Rassie Erasmus' men meeting Saracens in the Champions Cup a week later, Irish captain Best has been feeling jealous.

"Munster and Leinster, they have set the standard," acknowledged Best. "If you want to win this league, they're the teams and the level you have to reach.

"Our performances haven't been anywhere near that level but I believe we have the players to be at that standard."

With Munster and Leinster potentially facing each other in both the Champions Cup and PRO12 finals, Best added: "It's very tough not being a part of those games."
