Quintet named in Warriors line-up

Departing Glasgow Warriors quintet Richie Vernon, Bernardo Stortoni, Kevin Tkachuk, Aly Muldowney and James Eddie will start the final home match of the season against Scarlets on Friday.

Scotland scrum-half Chris Cusiter is also in the starting line-up for the first time at home this season, having endured a lengthy absence with a knee problem.

Graeme Morrison will continue to captain the team, with Alastair Kellock, Richie Gray and John Barclay rested at the request of Scotland head coach Andy Robinson, and Max Evans - leaving for Castres next season - out with an elbow injury.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: "When you look at some of the names like Bernardo Stortoni, Kevin Tkachuk, James Eddie and Richie Vernon, these guys are fantastic players.

"You know they're going to give their all in front of a home crowd - it will be quite an emotional night, but it has to be a professional night too. We have to go about doing our job right."
