Turnbull extends Edinburgh contract
Edinburgh lock Steve Turnbull has become the latest player to extend his contract with the Magners League side.
The 22-year-old has followed Mike Blair, Allan Jacobsen, Chris Paterson and Greig Laidlaw by signing a new two-year deal.
Turnbull has made 11 appearances this season after his debut professional campaign was wrecked by a broken ankle.
The second-row forward said: "I'm delighted to be staying with Edinburgh for the near future.
"At the moment the club is aspiring to win trophies and it is exciting to be part of that development.
"This season has gone quite well, apart from injuring my hamstring over the Christmas period.
"It is just good to be playing some rugby and helping the team to challenge for the Magners League title."
Meanwhile, Watsonians forwards Fraser Brown, 20, and Stuart McInally, 19, have signed their first professional contracts with the club.
