Ramsey sends wishes to Stoddart

Wales captain Aaron Ramsey revealed he sent a message of support to Morgan Stoddart after the Wales rugby international broke his leg against England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Scarlets full-back Stoddart suffered the injury in the second half of Wales' 23-19 defeat and he will miss the World Cup in New Zealand as a result. Ramsey is no stranger to such misfortune after suffering a horrific break when playing for Arsenal against Stoke in February of last year.

And the 20-year-old hopes that Stoddart can follow his lead in making a full recovery, and he said: "I sent him a message the other day, I have been through the same thing and hopefully with the right support he can get back to the same level."

He added: "It (rehabilitation) can be a lonely period but hopefully he has the right support from his family and his friends will stick around him and he can make a full recovery."
