Roberts set for cup return

Cardiff Blues say their Wales centre Jamie Roberts should be fit for next month's key Heineken Cup clash against London Irish at the Madejski Stadium.

Roberts suffered a knee injury during the Blues' RaboDirect Pro12 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons two days before Christmas, and he will miss Sunday's appointment with the Ospreys.

But the Blues believe British and Irish Lion Roberts will be available to face Irish on January 14, a game that comes just three weeks before Wales kick off their RBS 6 Nations campaign against Ireland in Dublin.

Gavin Henson, meanwhile, will make his second Blues appearance in the full-back position, with Casey Laulala and Gavin Evans forging Blues' midfield partnership at the Liberty Stadium.
