Andy Robinson will coach the Barbarians for their fixture against Loughborough Students on May 9.
Robinson, who remains Scotland coach despite presiding over a wooden spoon finish in this year's RBS 6 Nations, was a graduate of Loughborough University.
"I have many happy memories of my time at Loughborough and two of my sons, Olly and Eddy, are students there at the present," Robinson said.
