Ruan Combrinck and Courtnall Skosan both bagged try braces as the Lions thumped the Jaguares 52-24 in Saturday's Super Rugby clash in Johannesburg.

Lionel Mapoe, Lourens Erasmus, Cyle Brink and Jaco Kriel also crossed as the hosts put eight tries past their struggling Argentine foes in a handsome bonus-point win.

Nicolas Sanchez's 19-point haul of four penalties and a try proved in vain for the Jaguares, with Gonzalo Bertranou also crossing, but the Lions' eighth win in 11 matches kept them top of the South African group standings.
