New Aviva Premiership leaders Northampton produced an impressive all-round display to inflict a 34-13 defeat on Newcastle at Franklin's Gardens.

Lee Dickson, Greig Tonks, Joe Ansbro and James Downey were the try-scorers for the hosts, with Stephen Myler kicking 14 points.

Jeremy Manning scored a second-half try for the Falcons, while Jimmy Gopperth contributed eight points with the boot.
