Co-captain Sam Cane bagged a brace of tries as the Chiefs moved top of the New Zealand Conference with a resounding 58-24 triumph at the Kings.

The All Blacks back-row sent the 2012 and 2013 Super Rugby champions on their way with the opening try after 20 minutes before adding a second on the hour mark.

Other scores from Damian McKenzie, Taleni Seu, Charlie Ngatai, Cane's fellow skipper Aaron Cruden and Glen Fisiiahi rounded off a bonus point win for the enterprising Chiefs. McKenzie added 23 from the tee to complete the scoring.

The Kings, who got on the board via Edgard Marutlulle's double and 14 from Louis Fouche's boot, remain bottom of the South African Group after back-to-back defeats.
