Schools’ Cup: Grosvenor v Banbridge Academy

Published 21/01/2011

Grosvenor Grammar hope to build on last week’s devastating 24-5 win over Cambridge House when they play against Banbridge Academy (10.30 am).

They won an abundance of ball pushing their opponents back 25 metres on occasions but they will find the ‘seeded' Banbridge team a much more difficult hurdle to overcome.

Banbridge will provide more robust opposition as was shown at the weekend when Ballyclare High had a late try to win 17-7.

If Grosvenor can prevent Banbridge from using their speedy and penetrating backs then they are in with a chance.

The teams met earlier in the season with the game ending in a draw on that occasion.
