Schools’ Cup: Larne Grammar v Belfast High

Published 21/01/2011

Belfast High proved that they never give up when, after trailing Carrick Grammar 3-13 at the interval, they dominated the second half to reach the third round, winning 20-13, to take on Larne Grammar (10.30 am).

It was a tough, bruising encounter and they now have the same problem again as local rivals Larne are also bubbling with confidence after their 21-10 success at Portora Royal.

High School coach Derek Wilson feels that the contest will be similar to the Carrick game, saying: “We drew 13-13 with them in a midweek game and we hope to be at full strength.”
