Scotland's Fusaro set for surgery

Scotland and Glasgow flanker Chris Fusaro faces a potentially lengthy spell on the sidelines after being told he needs ankle surgery.

Fusaro suffered the injury during defeat at Toulouse last weekend and Glasgow say the length of lay-off will be determined after the operation.

Adam Ashe also faces "several weeks" on the sidelines as he continues to be sidelined by the neck injury he suffered during Scotland's defeat by New Zeland last month.

Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "Both Chris and Adam have been playing really well and this is a setback for them.

"We wish them all the best with their rehab and look forward to welcoming them back into the squad in the new year."
