Exeter centre Jason Shoemark has set his sights on securing a place in the Aviva Premiership semi-finals after committing his future to the Sandy Park club.

The 31-year-old New Zealander joined the Chiefs from Super 15 side the Highlanders in 2010, and has chosen to sign on for another two tears of Premiership action after impressing during his time to date in the west country.

"Excuse the cliche, but I think the world is our oyster," Shoemark told his club's website. "We are still learning and there will be times when we get knocked down a peg or two. That said, we are progressing all the time and look at us right now, we're up there challenging and the semi-finals aren't out of our reach by any means."

The Chiefs are currently fifth in the table, one point adrift of Leicester.
