Stronger Waratahs to face Lions

New South Wales Waratahs are set to be reinforced for Saturday's clash against the British and Irish Lions in Sydney.

Waratahs captain Dave Dennis and centre Rob Horne have both been released from the Wallabies' Sunshine Coast pre-Test series training camp.

And two players from the Brumbies - prop Scott Sio and utility forward Peter Kimlin - will be available for next Tuesday's appointment with the Lions in Canberra.

Wallabies coach Robbie Deans will now see the quartet gain playing time - and exposure to the Lions - before they rejoin the Test squad next week.

The Waratahs have been further boosted by Australia sevens internationals Bernard Foley and Matt Lucas being released from sevens duty.

Waratahs head coach Michael Cheika will announce his team on Friday to face the Lions.
