Stuart McInally will lead out Edinburgh against Agen on Friday after committing himself to the Gunners until 2018.

The hooker has penned a new two-and-a-half-year deal and now wants to help Alan Solomons' team progress in the European Challenge Cup, starting with a victory against the Top 14 outfit at Murrayfield.

Edinburgh sit third in Pool 5 but with two games to play could still finish top.

McInally said: "I'm really happy to have extended for another couple of years.

"I've been part of this process of rebuilding the club since Alan arrived, I'm now coming through in my new position as hooker and it's a really exciting place to play at the moment."
