The Sunwolves were denied only the second win of their maiden Super Rugby season when the Stormers secured a 17-17 draw in the final play of the match.

At one point of the second half of the clash in Singapore, the Japanese franchise led 17-3 through a try by Akihito Yamada and the kicking of Tusi Pisi.

But the Stormers came alive in the final quarter with tries from Pieter-Steph du Toit and Vincent Koch, before Brandon Thomson landed an injury-time conversion to snatch a draw.
