Super Rugby champions the Highlanders produced a late rally to see off the Southern Kings 48-18 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

After a slow start in Port Elizabeth, Matt Faddes scored the first of a hat-trick of tries as the visitors edged the first half 10-8, Wandile Mjekevu having crossed for the hosts.

It was only in the final quarter that the visitors stepped things up to secure a bonus point, adding four late tries as wingers Jack Wilson and Patrick Osborne both touched down before Faddes completed his treble and another late score from Aki Seiuli secured an emphatic scoreline.
