Brilliant Best dazzled Lions chiefs: Hendy
Ulster and Ireland ace Iain Henderson is sure that Rory Best's leadership qualities have been noticed by those who will be selecting the British and Irish Lions squad next year.
The Ireland skipper became the first Ulsterman to reach 100 Test caps when leading his side to victory against Australia last weekend and was tipped by defence coach Andy Farrell as a possible captain on the tour to New Zealand.
While hailing Best as an "unbelievable captain", Henderson doesn't believe such talk will be in Best's thoughts at the beginning of a hugely important run of fixtures for the province.
"That'll be the last thing on Rory's mind," said Henderson.
"He'll be looking to Cardiff away and two big European games with Ulster.
"Personally I think he's an unbelievable captain and I'm sure that's been noticed elsewhere too."
