Ulster quartet sign on for two more years at Kingspan

Alan O'Connor, Peter Nelson, John Andrew and Kyle McCall will be staying on with Ulster after all four signed two-year contracts which will keep them at the Kingspan Stadium until at least the summer of 2017.

Second row O'Connor and hooker Andrew move up from the Ulster Academy to development contracts with the squad while utility back Nelson and prop McCall have signed extensions to what are already development contracts.

As part of their deals, all four will then be given full-time professional contracts in season 2016/17.

Nelson (22) has already made 21 appearances for Ulster while O'Connor, who is also 22, has togged out 13 times and made a positive impression this season. Andrew, who is 21, has so far made four appearances for the senior side and 23-year-old McCall has played three times for Ulster and both are thought to have potential to make the breakthrough.

"All four players have shown significant improvements over the past year that should result in very promising futures in the professional game," Ulster Team Manager Bryn Cunningham said.
