Ulster's season ends with a 30:18 defeat to Leinster

By Jonathan Bradley

Ulster's season ended in the RDS with defeat against Leinster in the Pro12 semi-finals.

A third consecutive defeat at the last four stage, Les Kiss's men were beaten 30-18 and will have to watch next week's final between their Dublin rivals and the victor of Connacht versus Glasgow.

Leinster raced into an early lead through Isa Nacewa's try and two penalties from Johnny Sexton but Ulster fought back before the half.

Two Jackson penalties and an unconverted try from Craig Gilroy had the deficit sitting at just two points come half-time.

Jamie Heaslip scored a crucial try seven minutes into the half and Leinster never looked back.

The game seemed up as soon as Sean Cronin crashed over for a third and a late Ulster fightback, highlighted by Gilroy's second, counted for little.
