Ulster suffer title blow in Donnybrook debacle
Leinster Schools 37 Ulster Schools 13: Leinster Schools are now firm favourites to lift the Inter-Provincial title following their rather one sided victory over a disappointing Ulster at Donnybrook yesterday.
Ulster, who played so well in their 28-14 success against Munster last Saturday, failed to play to that standard and made far too many basic errors.
The home side was in charge early on, their forwards gaining the upper hand especially in the line-outs.
They were also quicker in the loose which enabled their speedier three-quarters to show their capabilities.
Stuart Olding, the BRA out-half scored all his team's points with a try, two penalties and a conversion.
Leinster took a first half lead of 17-3 and although the visitors did come back after the restart the home side was nearly always in control.
Leinster had a Michael Mellett try after only five minutes and that was the start of their domination.
Further tries came from Luke Satchwell, Conor McEllin, Rory Kavanagh and Mark Roche. Stephen Crosby kicked two penalties and three conversions.
In the other game Connaught defeated Munster 15-11.
