Van der Merwe to start for Glasgow

Canada winger DTH van der Merwe will replace the injured Sean Lamont as Glasgow make three changes for their Champions Cup clash against Montpellier on Sunday.

Lamont drops out with a leg knock, meaning Tommy Seymour switches to the right wing to accommodate Van der Merwe.

Props Ryan Grant and Jon Welsh come into the front row as Jerry Yanuyanutawa and Mike Cusack drop to the bench.

Ryan Wilson, who like Grant is in the middle of a court case at Glasgow Sheriff Court after denying a charge of assault, retains his place in the team.

Centre Mark Bennett and scrum-half Henry Pyrgos return from injury to make the bench.

Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend, whose side are second in their pool, said: "Montpellier are a dangerous side as they come to Scotstoun with nothing to lose and the players have an opportunity to impress their new coach. They are a team who like to offload and have a lot of quality throughout their squad.

"It's great to have Henry and Mark back. Henry has missed the last couple of games through injury and Mark has been out for nine weeks, but he's been training well for the last couple of weeks and had half an hour of rugby against Scotland Under-20s on Tuesday.
