Varndell stars in Saxons win

Wasps wing Tom Varndell ran in two tries for the second time in as many games as England Saxons beat the United States 32-9 in Denver.

Varndell followed up his double against Russia last time out with two more with Anthony Allen and Duncan Bell also going over for the Saxons.

Alex Goode (two) and Stephen Myler were successful with three conversion attempts with the former also landing two penalties.

The United States' points all came from Volney Rouse penalties.
