Wales set up South Africa meetings

Wales' fixtures for the remainder of this year have been confirmed - and they include three games against South Africa.

Warren Gatland's team will head to South Africa in June for their first post-RBS 6 Nations Tests, facing the Springboks on successive Saturdays in Durban and Nelspruit.

The Welsh Rugby Union also confirmed a demanding autumn programme that will see Wales host 2015 World Cup pool opponents Australia, Fiji, world champions New Zealand and finally South Africa.

"We have consistently said if you want to be the best, you have to play the best," WRU group chief executive Roger Lewis said.

"And t o have the IRB's top three-ranked sides - New Zealand, South Africa and Australia - visiting the Millennium Stadium, along with Pacific Island nation Fiji, in the Dove Men Series this autumn reconfirms that commitment.

"Our stated aim has been to take every opportunity to test ourselves at the highest level and give the squad the very best preparation available for the challenges ahead."

Wales fixtures: June 14 - South Africa (Durban), June 21 - South Africa (Nelspruit), November 8 - Australia (Cardiff), November 15 - Fiji (Cardiff), November 22 - New Zealand (Cardiff), November 29 - South Africa (Cardiff).
