Warriors too strong for Sale

Worcester resumed life in the top flight with a hard-earned 17-12 win over a spirited Sale side at Sixways.

The Warriors scored the only two tries of the game - Miles Benjamin touching down before they were awarded a penalty try - with Andy Goode adding both conversions and a penalty.

The hosts should have won more comfortably but Nick Macleod kept Sale in the game with three penalties and a drop-goal.
