Warwick 'fine' following injury scare

Worcester fly-half Paul Warwick has issued a positive fitness bulletin after he was carried off during the Warriors' Amlin Challenge Cup defeat against Sale Sharks on Friday night.

The game at AJ Bell Stadium was help up for 18 minutes while 33-year-old Warwick received treatment for a neck injury before he was taken to hospital.

But the Australia-born player, who joined Worcester from French club Stade Francais last year, has given an encouraging update.

Warwick said on Twitter: "Really appreciate all the concern! Very much precaution I think, but as always thank you to all involved in taking care of me!"

Worcester lost the game 21-3 as Sale set up a probable Pool One decider against Biarritz in France next Saturday.
