Wasps announce Sharks pair swoop

Wasps have announced the signings of James Gaskell and Rob Miller from their Aviva Premiership rivals Sale Sharks.

Gaskell, who can play in the back row or at lock, is a previous England Saxons captain, while full-back Miller recently featured for the Saxons in their games against Ireland Wolfhounds and Scotland A.

Aged 23 and 24, respectively, they are regarded as two bright young talents within the English game.

Both players will move to Wasps at the end of this season.

"We are delighted to bring James and Rob to Wasps," said Wasps rugby director David Young.

"They are both young, ambitious players and, from talking to them, I am sure that they will fit in well with what we are trying to do here at Wasps.

"Both players have a great amount of potential, and I look forward to them both continuing to develop and improve in black and gold."
