Wasps centre Chris Bell has been forced to retire with immediate effect because of a shoulder injury.

The 32-year-old former Leeds and Sale three-quarter, who led Wasps during the 2013-14 season, made 183 Premiership appearances in a career spanning 14 years.

"At this stage I'm not sure what the future holds. While it's slightly daunting and a change to professional sport, I look forward to the new challenge ahead," Bell said.
