Wasps fly-half Jimmy Gopperth has been cited for striking in Sunday's 24-16 Aviva Premiership defeat by Leicester.

Gopperth was sent to the sin-bin in the second half after colliding with Leicester back Mathew Tait in mid-air as they attempted to catch a kick.

The half-back will appear before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in Coventry on Tuesday evening for "punching or striking, contrary to law 10.4(a)".
