Wasps pair sign for Newport

Newport Gwent Dragons have announced the signings of Wasps players Charlie Davies and Ed Jackson.

Scrum-half Davies, who is Welsh-qualified, played for Stade Francais before joining Wasps, while back-row forward Jackson was on London Welsh's books when current Dragons rugby director Lyn Jones was head coach there.

Jones said: "I am delighted that both players have committed to us.

"They will be two good signings which will increase the ability of our squad in Rugby World Cup year."

Wasps rugby director Dai Young, meanwhile, added: "B oth players have been very valuable members of the squad in their time here.

"I totally understand their decision to move to try to get more regular first team rugby, and I wish them both all the best in the next steps in their careers."
