Wasps sign US centre

Wasps have announced the signing of America international centre Andrew Suniula.

Centre Suniula has played rugby league for Manly Sea Eagles in Australia, while his union experience includes stints with Taranaki and English Championship club Cornish Pirates.

Tongan back William Helu has also linked up with the Aviva Premiership club after signing for them earlier this year.

Helu's arrival at Adams Park was delayed while he recovered from an injury suffered on international duty.

"We have unfortunately been hit by a few early season injuries to our back-line, so having Andrew and William come in this week has been good timing," Wasps rugby director David Young said.

"They are both experienced international players and provide us with vital depth in the midfield and wider."
