Zebre on the rise after victory at Treviso

Zebre climbed out of the bottom two of the Guinness PRO12 standings after seeing off Italian rivals Benetton Treviso 18-8 at the Stadio Monigo.

Australia international Luke Burgess helped give Zebre an 8-3 half-time lead with his first try in the competition and Giulio Toniolatti's converted score five minutes from time wrapped up the spoils for the visitors.

Having also beaten Treviso at home in their previous fixture, Zebre are now up to 10th in the table, moving a point above Newport Gwent Dragons.

Winless Treviso, whose second-half try through Chris Smylie gave them a glimmer of hope only for Toniolatti to go over for Zebre soon after, continue in bottom spot after suffering their 22nd successive defeat stretching back to last season.
